Good morning, dear readers 💚✨
Just wanted to share a bit about where things are, progress-wise.
Page 94 is actually done, as of 6am this morning! I am very busy with commissions this week, but hope to have it posted in the next couple of days, as well as proper scans of all the Orcish Tent Correction redraws.
My plan, as I move forward, is to post the redraw scans on Patreon as they are, and get them put in place on the existing pages as soon as possible – that isn’t going to be an immediate update (I need help with my Photoshop skills, so my amazing Wife will be stepping in to paste them into the old pages, and that will take some time). So I will be keeping the old pages up, for now, with a note about the upcoming edit and apology for the issue, and then replace them asap.
This also means the story will continue to move forward, from here, anyway! Production on page 95 will start tomorrow. I am so relieved to be getting back to new page creation and can’t wait for you all to see what’s next.
I am also hoping, this year, to create pages more regularly – I haven’t figured out exactly how to make that work, but scrambling to find only minutes each day to work on new pages is no longer okay with me. I need to make a change. More on that as I figure it out (or honestly, you might just see it working by more regular updates!). I also hope to get posted somewhere like Webtoon, for better exposure. Not to invoke the dreaded e-word, but platforms like that are growing rapidly, and it would be foolish of me not to give it a shot. I’ve been asked at pretty much every comic-related event I tabled at last year if I’m on there. So maybe it’s time to listen.
I’ll still be on here, of course, and all other sites I use to broaden the reach of Tock’s tale!
And don’t forget, you can always help me get to more regular updates by pledging on Patreon! Every pledge helps, no matter how small. The more I make here ➡ the less I have to be at my day job ➡ the more time I have for furthering this project! And of course, each pledge comes with some lovely benefits. More information on my main page.
Thanks for sticking with me, everyone. Hope the new year has been kind to you so far, and that you’re looking forward to the next steps in this journey we’re taking together!
Page production is on hold until further notice, and I have an apology to make.
When I first designed the Orcs of Tock’s world, I chose to have them live in yurts because I simply and ignorantly thought yurts are lovely and wanted to draw them. I did not consider their history and cultural context at all, and in doing so have paid a striking disrespect to the cultures they come from.
It doesn’t matter that Tock’s story takes place in a Faerie setting away from that context – human inspiration still needs to be taken responsibly, and I wasn’t thinking or acting responsibly at the time. I did not intend to appropriate anything, but I have, and I am truly sorry, especially to anyone who may have been offended by what has been depicted in the comic.
I intend to correct every page that features the yurts, which will take some design adjustment and redrawing. More information on my timeline for that asap. In the meantime, bonus art and weekly bonus worldbuilding will be up as scheduled on Patreon.
Thanks very much to all of my readers for your patience while I correct this issue 💗

Annual holiday drawing time!
Sharing culture is important, loving and appreciating and respecting each other for our differences – so, this year within the Bucket, Tock and Bumble teach Onna more about Peacenight-Time traditions! Of light, and ornaments of stone and wood….
(Perhaps next year will be about Orcish light-return holidays….making a mental note!)
Thank you all for your enjoyment and support of Tock’s story. I hope you have a blessed, bright holiday season and a great start to the new year! ❤
From Tock and all the rest of the crew ❤
Thank you for reading her story and helping me be part of the comics world (the BEST form of storytelling imho), and thank you to all the writers, artists and comic book stores that made today awesome!
