The angst continues…..
Also continuing to use Orcish un-translated, since it’ll be important HOW they handle Tock and Bumble’s lack of understanding. Hopefully that doesn’t feel like it’s taking too long, dear readers – let me know if it’s dragging, and I will let you know when the Orcish Language Guide is available, too!
As I mentioned last time, some of these angry new faces will be familiar to you if you’ve read the “Meanwhile…” bonus scene (available to all patrons, along with many other goodies).
From Tock and all the rest of the crew ❤
Thank you for reading her story and helping me be part of the comics world (the BEST form of storytelling imho), and thank you to all the writers, artists and comic book stores that made today awesome!
Happy beginning of MerMay everyone!
(This is also a “Tock the Gnome” patreon bonus – that Elven lady in the middle of an intense Mermaid hug is Mariatu. Surrounding her is her Wife, Misu. They are an important part of the backstory of Tock’s world and there are many bonus pieces relating to them and mermaid/elf culture there. See more here.)
This is also especially dedicated to my own Mer-Llady Wife 🐚💗🦈
Good luck to all of us participating!
Hello dear readers! Just a reminder – only one more week left to get this exclusive print – only available to patrons, and only until May 1st!
“WIP Wednesday,” that is, with some bonus art progress!
I don’t get to show off Tock’s plumpness very much in the comic, due to the fun of corsets (really the only other times we’ve gotten to see it are in “Resurgam” and these two patron bonus pieces, “Tock’s Carwen Altar” and “Moonlight Stroll at the Camp”).
But in interest of getting to do that – since the need for me to push the body-positivity of the series has been brought VERY much to my attention lately – I’m redoing an old sketch of her daydreaming.
More WIP of this will be available for all patrons on Patreon as I go, btw. And don’t forget about the exclusive print special – only available for 12 more days!
Well, someone’s had enough of this conversation she can’t understand.
Also – backgrounds, wooo! After so many pages of very little background, this was a challenge and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. Between that and the rush of action in the first 4 panels (and those being so tightly packed together) I really wanted this page to snap us right back into the reality of what’s going on – i.e. the very real, potential danger for all three of our heroes. We’ve gotten to focus on just the mystery of Onna’s situation a bit for the last few pages, but there is a lot more going on than her reluctance and Tock’s curiosity.
Also also please, if you’re interested in me posting a translation guide for the Orcish, raise your hand!
