Challenge complete! 💚🙌💚
Blessed Samhain as well, to all beloved living and beloved dead.
So here’s Onna, at the burial site of her beloved mentor, shortly before Tock’s arrival. More context available for patrons as always. And if you are celebrating today, may your day be filled with wonder and magic (and candy!).
World Building Wednesday time! Which means, time for another patrons-only world building post, dear readers! (And last one of this most Orcish of months!)
This week, we’re looking at how Orcs currently deal with solar eclipses – and how they used to. All through the lens of a bonus, backstory short story, too!
Here we go!! (Not including today’s which will be drawn later.)
Which also would have been World Building Wednesday, but that had to be on pause for last week due to show prep. Anyhow, here’s something about what happens (or used to happen) during eclipses….
From the aforementioned show prep event!
Warrior and Tea Faerie ❤
Queer loves inspired by a recent rewatch of Thor: Ragnarok (yes yes).
Inspired by a recent viewing of “The Hobbit.” ….I love me some Tolkien, I do, but whenever I watch anything LotR-related I end up drawing some of my own Orcs very, very confused.
Language note! ‘Eka’ means ‘no.’ Full Orcish Language Guide available here.
The 27th/Sunday Gnomedays 10-27-19
I imagine these two end up on wondrous adventures, protecting whatever preciousness that star stands for.
Sometimes, you’ve gotta be fierce and stern.
More to come – we’re almost there, everybody!
(Aaaaaand in case you don’t follow my other sites- next month’s drawing challenge prompt list is up here!)
The March of the Background Orcs does indeed continue!
This is Gruska – the guard that is currently in charge of watching Onna as she escorts Tock and Bumble to the clan’s camp. Randomly smiling, and taking her hair down.
I imagine someone’s teasing her about something at the end of the day, at home. That second speech bubble translates to “You think?”
Little bit of catchup!
Firstly, 17, a Tock-style Orcish matron (mostly just playing around with Orc fashion and flowy hair ^^; ).
And secondly, 18 – featuring Tol, a side character who warms my heart because he is one of the only members of Onna’s clan who is still polite to her (….well, polite-ish 😅).
This maaaaaay also begin a March of the “Tock the Gnome” Background Orcs because there’s so many that are fun to draw and won’t be getting a lot of page-time (and which technically already started on day two…). We shall see!

Time for another patrons-only world building post, dear readers!
Today, continuing with Orcish celebration, we are looking at how the Orcs use their written language – what is not recorded that way vs. what is.
Thanks for your patience, everybody, while I was away at my brother’s wedding!
(These are not in numerical order, but follow my notes in the order the images are posted above, and it will all make sense.)
So, numbers 14, 12 and 15, first – all three of those being Tock-verse-framed BUT 14 and 15 being non-exactly-canon, as the Orcs are not exactly aware of broader Faerie (…yet) and don’t have magic (…at the moment).
And lastly, number 13/Sunday Gnomedays 10-13-19 – a non-Tock entry (gasp!) featuring Orc and Gnome of “Orc and Gnome’s Mild Aventures!” If you haven’t checked out their comic yet, DO! It is veryvery fun, and another adventure-based Orc/Gnome romance. Delicious ❤
Stayed tuned for more “Tock the Gnome” Orctober later today with World Building Wednesday!
