Bonus sketch – Random Tribesladies

Random Orcish art therapy *thumbs up*
These are two of Onna’s tribesfolk, from pgs. 74 and 75 recently. I am oddly fascinated with that white-haired maiden and I hope I get to tell her story too, whatever it is.
And if you missed it, I did create a guide to who’s who between those two pages, only available here.

Ding ding!

Thank you, readers, for your patience. This one took quite some time but I think it was well worth it.

(A key to match up each tribe member between their representation here and on the previous page is also up on Patreon! )

Told you it would be much more detailed 🙂

The scan of this page is a little bit bigger than most, for better views of Onna’s tribe.

Well, what you can see of them so far.

Also, a quick note on my Orcs – though they live in yurts (because….yurts), they are heavily Viking-influenced. That’s a mashup that just makes a lot of sense to me. I’m very excited to show more of that.

Tock getting us back on track (very helpful, since its been a while since the last page!). Also, ‘skilamalink’ is a Victorian slang word that means ‘sneaky, shady or doubtful.’

Re-inking Preview, page 71

Buckling down on really getting this page finished. Life is busy, so I usually allocate myself 15 minutes a day to work on the comic’s pages, finishing each one little by little even if its slower progress than I’d like.

I’ve slipped on even that small Tock Time lately, usually only getting that time in every 2 or 3 days.

BUT. Today it’s more apparent to me that ever that the world NEEDS stories of hope and love, which Tock’s story is, in essence. How will we survive, and be fair to each other, without encouragement to believe in those things?

I will be trying harder to get more and more of my own hopeful, loving comic down on paper.

Hi everyone. Here’s a little bit of the next page again – progress has been really slow lately as I have some Big Art News going on that applies to all my Faerie work, not just Tock. I’ve been invited to vend, as in selling prints of my work, at a local festival!

That’s Gnome and Fairy Fest, here in Ithaca, NY, on October 1st. Two weeks from today, oh my goodness. Most of my art time lately has therefore been going to the production of those prints and other items for sale at my booth, as well as to making coloring page images that I’ll have available for free there, to draw people in! (The people planning the festival are just lovely, and so community minded, so they’re big on each booth having an activity if possible.)

Obviously, much of what I’ll be featuring involves Tock and her crew, so I will share more once I have more prints made, etc. There’s even going to be a sign promoting the comic and business cards just for Tock, so I’ll be uploading the illustration I did for that card soon.

And in the meantime, thanks for your patience and for keeping an eye out for Tock’s adventures here ❤
