Bonus art – Snow

snow_wm

As noted before – while I’m working on correcting the Orcish tent issue on previous pages (which takes a lot of tracing/redrawing work I can’t just sit down and do without setting up a specific work station), I’ve been using my daily Tock Time* to finish up some bonus illustrations – which will be available as prints, in interest of my upcoming presence at Gears to Corsets, September 27th to 29th!

So here’s the third of those, featuring a piece I’d previously done as a pencil drawing for Gnomevember. Still a random Gnome noblewoman, taking it upon herself to experience snow for the first time.

Available as a 4×6 inch print!! Click here!

*For those of you who don’t know, because of my busy schedule, daily “Tock Time” means at least 15 minutes a day working on the newest page of the comic. Since I work traditionally, this usually means just sitting down with pencils pen and paper and physically creating each page. However, things have been different lately, due to the reasons listed above.

Bonus art – Dance Lessons II

A redraw of a previous illustration (with a bit more emotion since my own shipping has increased. Oh dear ;D ).

‘Tock Daydreams,’ and Happy Lesbian Visibility Day!

tockdaydreams2019_wm

Finally got this done!!! It will actually be featured as the cover for issue 2, BUT I couldn’t resist sharing it today, in honor of Lesbian Visibility Day ❤

So, a special shoutout to all my fellow queer lady-loving-ladyfolks. It’s been some time since I came out, but I continue to be grateful for my journey and all parts of my identity, including this one. When I was growing up in the 90’s, it was a lot more dangerous to be openly myself. I stayed closeted for a while, and then only opened up to select people as I felt necessary. And only when I felt safe. That got better as time went on – as I found a community of other LGBTQ+ people, as I fell in love and gradually became more accepted by my family and other people in my general communities (thank the Gods that we are   e v e r y w h e r e ).

That said, there is still  M U C H  progress to be made. I feel like my culture pretty well accepts cisgender gay men and lesbians who fit into it’s accepted heterosexual “norm” (find one person, get married, have babies), but genderqueer visibility, nonbinary visibility, trans visibility, pansexual visibility, asexual visibility, etc. etc. etc. is just beginning to be addressed, let alone respected. And even though I feel safer in general, there are still SO many places in my country and the world where it’s still not “okay” to show my own love openly.

We are still worlds away from the constant fear I felt about my sexuality when I was first figuring it out, so on this day I can’t help but be grateful for the progress we HAVE made – and hopeful for even more. Safety and visibility for ALL people sooner and sooner.

(And don’t forget – less than one week left to preorder issue 2!!)

Tock and the Manticore

In honor of what’s going on today, and the days and years to come. Of what some of us fear will come to pass.

May we all embrace Love, and be kind to one another.

(Inspired by the famous fable “The Lion and the Mouse” and the historic tale of Androcles. And by a friend who suggested I include this tale as part of Tock’s own herosim.)

“Princess?” – series promo illustration

So here’s something I’ve been working on for a good while now – originally inspired by all the floofy princessy illustrations for a certain series I adore, but now, finished up as a promo illustration for this series.

Obviously speaking to Tock’s story as it is right now.

First official shot of the whole Bucket crew, and a vision of the Princess, of course 🙂 Sorry for slight spoilers about as-yet-unrevealed characters. They’re all going to be very interesting together, so I hope you stick around.

“Mother’s Heart” and “Father’s Eyes”

Two pieces for this Mother’s Day and Father’s Day for my own parents, featuring Tock (and tiny Tock!) with her own parents.

I don’t get to show very much of them in the comic, but they are very important to her, so I wanted to honor that somehow for my own folks.

For more information on their story, see here and here’s another adorable sketch of them, too.
