Time for another patrons-only world building post, dear readers!
Continuing our theme from last week, here’s a better portrait of the Gnomish royal family, as they are now. We will be looking a bit at what happened to Adamine after last week’s trauma, how this family formed, and where they are now.
Reminders – “Tock the Gnome” is available to read for free both here and on Patreon (where there is much bonus art, story and world-building to boot), so please do check it it out if you haven’t yet! ~ Also, call for artists is still open for “Prints for Pam-a-Lamb.” ~ And prints of my own work, comic books, coloring books and needlefelted OOAK dolls are available anytime on Etsy.
Looks like Tock has figured something out – can you guess what it is? 🙂
(Shameless bonus promotion – those of you who are Patrons should be able to figure out some of what’s being said here with the Orcish Language Guide! There are quite a few new words in here, which will be updated in part 2 of the Guide soon.)
Thanks for your patience with updates, too – if the slow updates bother you, keep in mind that we’re getting closer to my first goal on Patreon, $50 monthly, which means I would guarantee a new page each month!! So if you’re not pledging me on Patreon yet, but enjoy reading Tock’s story, please do consider signing up!
As it says 🙂 Still pushing through with these for the Orcs of Tock’s world, but life-things prevented me from posting in a timely manner this weekend.
So here we go, with catchup:
As I’ve talked about before on Patreon, these Orcs are nomadic hunter-gatherers. So I imagine this lady got her timing messed up and kept foraging beyond the time that her people were supposed to regroup and start packing up camp, and now she had to hurry back to them (….by the look on her face, I feel like this happens to her a lot).
Pretty self-explanatory – though I did have something very different in mind for this one (Onna singing to Tock and Bumble, actually. She has a lovely singing voice, which hasn’t come up in the comic yet…… and I’m impatient….. ).
But the busy-ness of this weekend manifested this, instead, and I’m actually very pleased with how she came out.
Maybe most Orcs don’t sing, and as such, this lady is surprised to hear music in the forest…
Seven, “Fight” (and Sunday Gnomedays 10-7-18)
As I’ve also mentioned before, the Orcs and the Gnomes have a pretty good trade relationship that has existed for a while. Most of the time, such visits go smoothly… but sometimes, not as much!
By the way – in order to keep things interesting (and manageable) as I fulfill each prompt, all Sunday drawings will be combined with Sunday Gnomedays, and all Wednesday drawings will be combined with World Building Wednesdays.
Day 8 will be up later today ❤
Almost to a resolution ~ but, then!
Thank you for your patience in waiting for this page, I know it’s been a couple months ^^; That said – we’re very close to my first goal on Patreon, $50 monthly, for which I would guarantee a new page each month!! So if you’re not pledging yet but enjoy reading Tock’s story, please do consider signing up!
And as far as this page goes, I am very pleased with it myself, especially that first panel. Lots of little storytelling details in where everyone is looking 😉
And and, as I mentioned last page, The Orcish Language Guide is finally available! Click here to check it out. (Some of the words on today’s page are new, but they will be added as soon as possible.)
Lastly – Happy Orctober, too!!! I will be participating in that, even though I’m having a bit of a late start. More about that on my Instagram.
Time for another patrons-only World Building post, dear readers! (Remember, these bonuses are available to ALL patrons, no matter what level, so I hope you all get curious!)
This week we’re returning to the Gnomes a little bit, to look more at religion – specifically, that of their goddess of Love and Creation, Carwen.
Someone’s being a bit too flourishy ^^;
(More context on that here.)
Aaaaaaaaaand ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!!!
The Orcish Language Guide is finally available, on Patreon! Click here to check it out.
