“Tock the Gnome” in general is a project that may or may not manifest in several graphic novels, artbooks and/or storybooks (we’ll see what happens). This website serves as a platform for brainstorming and world-building for it.
The world (as its known so far) includes typical high fantasy elements like Elves and Dwarves, with slightly-more-complicated-than-usual Orcs and Gnomes that currently live in a Steampunk society. Situations between them and details about the world will vary based on time periods, etc. Common themes will probably include relationships, True Love, spirituality, gender roles and the chaos that comes from unadulterated confidence (which may or may not be a bad thing). Oh, and Fairy Tales. Lots of those.
“Tock the Gnome: The Rescue Quest” is about a Gnome woman named Tock, who lives in the aforementioned Steampunk culture. Driven by a Fairy Tale about a trapped Elven princess on a floating island, she convinces her friend Bumble – an airship pilot – to join her quest to rescue her. They hire extra firepower from unfamiliar lands, and together they seek the island and the princess. But what they seek may not be quite what they expected…
WARNINGS: Will contain lesbian romance, size-positivity, conundrums and tomfoolery.
