“Ask Tock”

Hi everyone! Some of you who also watch my DeviantART site may have noticed me mention that I’ll be moving at the end of April. What this means for “Tock” is that I’ll be posting some filler at the very end of April/most of May (don’t worry, there will  be something posted every week during that time to help make up for the lack of pages).

The good part of this is that after the move, I should have a little more time on my hands to work on the world this story takes place in. I can’t promise anything yet, but here’s what I have in mind for when we return to regular updates:

Every other week or so, when a page isn’t scheduled to go up, I’d like to start an “Ask Tock” section. This would be for any questions you, the readers, have about the story or the world – any holes you see in it, for example. I would take one of these questions and answer it with a drawing on non-page weeks, which would make even more information available to you, and hopefully be entertaining for all.

If you’re interested, please comment here, and/or send your questions to And as always, thanks for reading!

How do the various peoples of your world get on? Is there any emnity or even open hostility between races or cultures?

Is the gnomish society highly theological? And is this in anyway connection to the prevalence of half-cogs?

Good question! Do you mean the half-cogs in their architechtural/other design?

Yes. In particular the statue on page 13. Although I like the ascetic of the sword hilt and the fan design, the big and subtle thing that draws my attention is the medallion with the half cog on it.

Duly noted. Nice work noticing the medallion, that’s actually important.
